After a reckless drive through DC, you realize you’ve spent more money on a lousy taxi than it would have taken for a limo. You finally get home and your fiancée is stressed; meanwhile the fast-food you ate earlier isn’t mixing well with your stomach.

One thing after another and you realize, the wedding is approaching and neither of you have any money saved for the honeymoon. We’re not living in the 50’s anymore and Dad won’t pay for it, so you’ve got to figure out how to do it on your own. You want nothing more than to have a fantastic getaway as newlyweds somewhere on a beach with white sand and a breeze blowing. But in all reality, if you don’t save up money soon, you’ll be spending your honeymoon at the Red Roof Inn.

Trying to save money for the honeymoon seems impossible right? It doesn’t have to be, let’s get creative DC! Don’t worry about a thing, we all stress sometimes, but remember to relax and have positive progressive thoughts! Because worrying never got anyone anywhere. Anywhere you’d actually want to be anyways. It only wastes time, and remember, we don’t have time to waste, so let’s get these ideas crackin’!

Your honeymoon isn’t doomed!

Have you made friends with Ebay yet? Sell unwanted junk around the house, because one person’s junk is another person’s treasures! I’m not telling you to get rid of things you’re not ready to part with yet; but you know there are some things you could probably do without. Plus it can help you develop good chi flow through your home for a new beginning.

This is my favorite—Bride and Groom dunking! Or whoever is up for it–the best men or the bridesmaids! Rent a dunking tank and get ready for a big splash! If anything, it will definitely be exciting and entertaining. Charge five bucks a dunk.

Cream pie throwing! Again, at the bride and groom or whoever really loves some pie. Charge a few dollars a pie, or whatever it’s worth to you getting a pie to the face.

A honeymoon is not only exciting, but serves as a fresh slate, a way to start anew. It’s time for the newlyweds to relax and prepare for their new life. A way for the couple to develop new ideas for their future of their home, relationship and lives.

If anyone has any unique ideas to share, we want to hear from you! Leave your great ideas in the comments! Thanks!
